The special and free event will also feature an open conversation with JSWISS that dives deep into his creative process and the album's themes -- love, grief, and mental health.
This interactive, advance listening session is already being lauded by legendary Video Music Box founder Ralph McDaniels, who says of the true-school project: "[It's] for folks that love hip-hop music, love jazz music, love progressive music.”
ABOUT JSWISS
JSWISS is a standout lyricist and storyteller who is no stranger to legendary stages like, the Apollo Theater, Blue Note Jazz Club, and multiple international festivals. To date, he has performed and recorded with countless notable instrumentalists at the intersection of jazz and hip-hop, including drummers Nate Smith, Daru Jones and E.J. Strickland; trumpeters Keyon Harrold, Maurice Brown and Nicholas Payton; as well as saxophonists Marcus Strickland, Jaleel Shaw and the late Casey Benjamin.
